brand new music videos
the internet really is the only place to discover new music. there is no more "music television" (like the old Mtv) and broadcast radio just plain sucks. they play the same old crap in every cookie-cutter format. you won't find many television channels dedicated to music unless you are paying for a satellite subscription service. but music videos are alive and well on the web. i promised to post some more good stuff and here it is. brand new music videos! i hope that readers of this blog take advantage of a post like this and CRANK IT UP! give those little PC speakers a workout. don't be shy. hit play. it's ok. turn it up. its not tuff. its probably not safe for work, but who cares? if it's too loud for some poeple, then they're just too old! have a great day! and remember to rock the night away.
debuting over at SPIN magazine's website is a new video by Puscifer, which is one of the bands fronted by TOOL singer Maynard James Keenan. he is a very creative cat and makes some great music. this is a trippy video that is apparently a tribute to director David Lynch. this song rocks and is creepy at the same time. get haunted with "telling ghosts"...
the glorious return of the Red Hot Chili Peppers is welcome news to their millions of fans. i have all of their albums except Stadium and the new one. i think John Frusciante was a big part of their sound over the last decade. he is tuff to replace but it seems like the new guy, Josh Klinghoffer is doing just fine. this new video is very innovative and clever. it's also wild and artsy. typical Peppers. be careful not to get dizzy watching "look around"...
the new Black Keys album is called El Camino. it is another step in the right direction for this band. they have fully embraced full band arrangements that enhance their core sound. the guys haven't lost their rawness despite the production values. this song just plain kicks ass. the official video was just released a few days ago. enjoy "gold on the ceiling"...
how about some more rock? in fact, the only rock band with an album nominated for "Album of the Year" at the Grammy's next sunday. for rock fans the Grammys show usually sucks. it probably will again this year but i am happy for the success of the Foo Fighters because they are a great band. and they are international. fans from the other side of the world are featured in this new video for the song "these days"...
this next one is so new that the album isn't even out yet. it is from the first solo album from Jack White called Blunderbuss. it comes out in April. Jack posted this video but it is really just a graphic with the song. the song is pretty good, not loud and rocking like the previous videos but brand stinking new and worthy of inclusion here. oh, just hit play and listen to "love interruption"...
this last video is not that new. it was released last October. and since then it has had over 11 MILLION views. ...so, maybe you've already seen it. this isn't loud rock and roll either. it is country star Toby Keith with a fun song about partying. watch for the guest star cameos. this is a perfect ending to this collection. Fill it up. Drink it up. Hold it up. have a Party with a "red solo cup"...
that's all for now. REMEMBER: view, rock, enjoy, repeat.,etc....
